Cute big and little pillows

I made a full size pillow from this pattern from Elm Street Life to put on the bed in one of my guest rooms.
I loved the way it turned out so much, I adapted the pattern  for my much smaller  pillow forms ,  but they (only one is shown)  came out lovely, I think.

This beautiful teal is one of the accent colors in the master bedroom, and this teal linen goes very nicely with the quilt in the background which I made more than 25 years ago, when we lived in Miami. I took a pineapple block quilt class at the local quilt shop (which I heard closed down a year or so ago..so sad)  and this  was the result. Still love the colors all these years later.

Beginner Painting

Along the lines of trying something new, and inspired by looking at painting DIY on Pinterest, I tried my hand at “modern art”…..these go with the colors in my new kitchen and dining room. Some acrylic paint and some masking tape…and voila…art! I like them even if they are hokey.
