Yesterday was my day to do errands, get a hair cut, go Christmas stocking stuffer shopping etc. I ended up at Home Goods in Frederick, where in addition to gifts that cannot be mentioned here, I picked up this circular light weight piece of embossed bronze colored metal. It was scratched and banged up a bit, so it was only $22. At the checkout stand, the lady said, “what are you going to do with that?”, I immediatley replied “paint it and hang in my bedroom!”. So that’s my project for today…here is a peek at the before and after. I used a hodge-podge mixture of Annie Sloan paints, folowed by a coat of clear wax, and then dark wax for highlighting the texture. I am pleased with how it turned out.
Your pictures of your crafts here, that metal dish, look so beautiful. And love seeing the before and after look. Excellent work!
